Our little Jelly Belley turned 1 this weekend on the 23rd! This year has gone by extremely fast, but you know what they say, “time flies when you’re having fun!” We can’t even imagine what our lives would be like without our little princess, she brings us so much joy and happiness. The bigger she gets the more fun she becomes. She's got the cutest personality and we can't believe it's even possible to love something as much as we love her.

Here's 5 things we love about Isabelle:

1 - Her mean face: she scrunches up her nose, squints her eyes and breathes really hard.

2 - She loves bracelets: anything she can put around her wrist, she'll wear it (stacking rings, flip flops, elastics & jewelery.)

3 - Her excitement when someone starts singing "Isabelley Jelly Time."

4 - When she pretends to talk on the phone. It's sad that a 1 year old can see our culture's obsession with cell phones but it's so cute. She puts her hand up to her ear and babbles away.

5 - Her smile when one of us comes home, she has the biggest grin and reaches out her arms for you to hold her. Then gives you a big wet open mouth slobbery kiss.

I know these things will fade with time as she grows but we will always remember. There's nothing like having a daughter!

We had some great parties on Sunday, Isabelle had such a blast the entire day. Opening gifts, playing with the kids and eating cake kept her busy for hours. It was a pleasure seeing those who made it and we are so grateful that you could share our special day with us!

Isabelle's 4-Legged Friends

Isabelle, Tiger & Diesel are starting to become the best of friends. The first sign of their friendship is they enjoy eating the same food. Isabelle will feed the Dogs food from her high chair when she thinks we aren’t looking. Also when she’s on the floor she will go over to their dog bowl, take a few pieces out and hand feed them. Another reason how I can tell they are BFF’s is when we are standing at the front door to the house, Isabelle will look at me with the biggest smile on her face while shaking her legs because she can hear the dogs barking. She can’t wait for me to get the door open, she is so eager to greet her little mutts! Overall the most obvious sign Isabelle enjoys her 4-legged friends is when she crawls out the dog door. Oklahoma City, Here We Come!

We got back from Bear Lake on Tuesday then headed to Oklahoma City Wednesday morning to continue our week long family vacation. We went to OKC to watch Chris play baseball and to visit with his cute little family. I wasn’t sure what to expect from this Mid-West city, but surprisingly OKC is a very nice place. The people are friendly and laid back, the city is clean, and there are a lot of yummy places to eat that you can’t find in Salt Lake. The only downer of the trip was that it was so hot and humid that we didn’t want to step foot out in the hot wet weather. Coming from the dry desert air it’s really hard to adjust to the humidity.

Chris played very well and had a lot of good hits, unfortunately I can’t say the same for his team. The Red Hawks only won 1 of the 4 games we saw.

Chris’ little boy, Ki, is so dang cute! He’s such a happy easy-going baby and I know him and Isabelle will be getting into a lot of mischief when they get older.

While we were in Oklahoma we paid tribute to the lives lost in 1995 at the site of the Oklahoma City Bombing. They did an awesome job at preserving the land where the Murrah Federal Building once stood and paying respect to the lives lost on that tragic day. This bombing claimed the lives of 168 people many were children, what a heartbreaking loss.“We come here to remember those who were killed, those who survived and those changed forever. May all who leave here know the impact of violence. May this memorial offer comfort, strength, peace, hope and serenity.”

We got back on Sunday after an eventful week. We had a great time and we're so happy we could get away from our busy lives for a week. However we're both facing a grueling week at work but having a fun time at home with Isabelle & the Dogs!
