Look Who's Two!

Our little Belley turned 2 yesterday and her birthday was such a blast!

Mama and Daddy surprised her with a kitchen and she was speechless when she walked into the playroom.

We had 2 birthday parties for her, one at the park and one at home. Thank you to all who came, it wouldn't have been the same without you and Isabelle is very grateful for your thoughtful gifts! A special thanks to Megan for the delicious cake, you're very talented and it was a hit with all!

Isabelle's growing faster than we ever thought but it's so incredible to see the transformation from a baby to a walking, talking and energetic little girl.

Here's 5 things we love about our little girl:
1- The way she runs, she doesn't go any faster than when she's walking except her arms swing and little bum twist more.
2 - The way she jumps. She tries so hard but does not get any air whatsoever!
3- When the Caillou theme song comes on Sprouts she dances the entire time!
4- After Isabelle has woken up in the morning or from her nap she screams Mama and Daddy until someone releases her from "prison."
5- Her kisses, she puckers up just like a fish and makes a "mmmm" sound until contact with your lips are made!

Now come the terrible 2's, right?

Quick Summer Get Away

Isabelle and I went with my Mom and Brady to Tacoma, WA for the weekend to visit Chris and his family.

We went to the Point Defiance Zoo, the Proctor Farmers Market and 3 Tacoma Rainier baseball games. We stayed at a great hotel called the Hotel Murano, it was full of interesting art and unique decor.

Brady and I lived in Tacoma when we were first married so it was fun to go back to a familiar town.

Chris did great in his games and it was fun to be at a park where you're cheering for the home team.

Ki and Isabelle had so much fun playing together, they are the best of pals.

Brady stayed home and missed out on all the fun but he gave us a big welcome home gift when we arrived...

Isabelle and I were very surprised and happy with her bedroom makeover! Thanks Daddy for doing such a great job and the color is perfect!!!

It's the end of relaxation, tomorrow we're back to our routine!

Oh, the Places We've Been!

Our summer has been a mild one but there's been a few things that have kept us going. Brady has been enjoying time with Shane and jet skiing every Wednesday night. Minus the terrible sunburn Brady had, his ski season has been rather enjoyable.

I went to a private screening with Ashley of the upcoming movie "Julie & Julia," I highly recommend it to all. I wasn't sure about it but now I'm really happy I took up the offer to go. It's funny and it kept me entertained from beginning to end. I'm not sure how much the guys would like it but it's definitely a great chick flick and I will probably buy it when it comes to DVD.

Isabelle enjoyed a Saturday afternoon at Discovery Gateway. It was completely busy with a bunch of kiddos but she didn't mind, she was in the zone and played non-stop!

We've been up to Bear Lake twice in the last 2 weeks. The first time was just a day trip on Sunday for Brady's family reunion. We wished we could have stayed longer but it was still very nice to see everyone. Isabelle got car sick on the way up and the way down, cleaning up on the side of the freeway isn't very fun nor easy.

Just this past weekend we went with Mike and Leah and spent 3 days with them. Brady had a stressful time the first night, I hope he doesn't get mad for publicly calling him out, but his truck got stuck in the water when he was trying to pull the jet skis in. After everyone's help a tow truck eventually got him out. We also spent some time with Schaar's on Sunday afternoon and let the girls play. Here's some great pictures of Isabelle and her cousins tearin' it up on the beach!

More posts to come, we are going to Seattle in a week and Belle's birthday is the week after!
