First Haircut

We finally decided it was time to give Mason a haircut. He had a full head of hair when he was born and didn't lose any of it. Throughout the past year it has grown pretty crazy and not even so especially over his ears it looked like he had wings and could take off flying. We took him to cookie cutters and the cut only took about 10 minutes. Surprisingly he sat so still and did a good job! The picture of him sleeping is the best I could do to show you the after look.

The BIG one!

Mason turned 1 on January 18th - boy how time flies! I can't believe our baby is no longer a baby anymore! He is now a toddler with an attitude who gets into everything! Isabelle still thinks the world of him and I know they'll continue to be close as they grow up together.

Mason's 1st Christmas!

What an exciting Christmas season we had! 

On the 23rd we had Christmas with my Dad & Pyper and Santa came to their house to visit. I wish I took some pictures but I didn't have my camera that night. The kids really enjoyed Santa and the train whistles he brought. 

Then we spent Christmas Eve with my Mom and Grandma. We enjoyed our traditional Christmas Eve dinner then the kids were spoiled some more with additional gifts. 

Then on Christmas Day Isabelle inspected the cookies & milk we left out for Santa and boy was Santa hungry - he ate them all! Then she checked the reindeer food we sprinkled outside and the reindeer were hungry too! Then she looked for presents that Santa left, a special baby cradle for all her babies.

Isabelle was full of joy and Christmas spirit this year, it brings so much happiness into our lives this time of year. We are truly blessed to have such a wonderful and healthy family. Mason didn't have much interest to be honest, he didn't care about any presents and seemed less than intrigued when it came time for opening his presents. He just wanted to crawl around and look at everything. I have a feeling next year will be a different story. 

Christmas afternoon we went over to Grandpa Mitch's for a little while. 

And then we had Christmas with Grandma Becky a week later. 

All around my kids came out of the Christmas holiday with more toys and clothes than ever, what a blessing to have loved ones near! 

Temple Square

We braved the cold, minus the snow, and took the kids to see the Christmas lights down at Temple Square. They thought everything was so pretty and couldn't wait to see more. But it was freezing and the adults didn't last long - the kids were stronger than us!

"Zhat You Santa Claus?"

Isabelle had her annual Christmas recital at Cottonwood High School on December 16th. Last year there were only 2 girls in her class but this year there's enough to fill the stage. She is not shy at all and did a good job at remembering all her steps. I asked her recently if she wanted me to sign her up for T-ball or soccer and she said, "No mom, I want to be the cheerleader."

North Pole Express

The Schaars invited us to join them on the Heber Valley Railroad to experience the North Pole Express. We rode the train and on our way we stopped to pick up Santa Claus. The girls had a blast!
