When you watch any beauty queen pageant the notorious answer all contestants give to the question: "What do you want to achieve during your reign?" is WORLD PEACE. We all kind of laugh at the idea that a beauty queen couldn't solve the worlds problems, let alone bring peace to the world, but what if they could?Right now, more than ever, I wish someone could figure out how to achieve world peace and stop the fighting that's going on around the globe. We received some disappointing news yesterday, Brady has been called by the Department of Defense to return to active duty. What does this mean? It means that on February 22nd Brady will leave and go to South Carolina for some training then be attached to a unit in Wisconsin that will be going to Iraq. Yep, this means a second tour of duty for Brady. The letter was very vague so I don't have too many details but the active duty status will last up to 400 days.
I will keep everyone posted as more information becomes available. In the mean time the Beckstead household is preparing to send off our wonderful husband and father to serve our country again.
Brady, Isabelle and I love you so much. Even though this breaks our heart we will do everything in our power to stay connected to you while you are gone and will remain strong. We are proud of you and love you for all the sacrifices you are making for our family and our country.

I know we don't know each other very well, but I would be happy to help you out in any way I can. We appreciate Brady's service and sacrifice for the freedoms and safety we enjoy here in our country.
I am so SORRY and I if there is anything I mean anything we can do to help you guys out please let us know. Casey called me so upset yesterday and when I told me I couldn't believe it. Brady you are so BRAVE and STRONG and we are so lucky to have you fighting for our safety. We LOVE you guys.

It sounds like you have some challenging days ahead. Ashlee just told me about Brady's call. Please know how thankful I am Brady is willing to make such sacrifices for our country. Melissa, Brady, Isabell...our thoughts are with you at this most difficult time. I know how hard is has been to send my son off for 2years...I can't imagine having to send my husband and father away. Our prayers are with you and I am sure Zach will keep you in his as well. Let us know if we can help. Even though our Zach is gone we still have Kellen around to do those manly jobs if you need him.
