I thought we didn't have anything exciting to blog about. Then when I actually really thought about it I realized there has been quite a bit going on since our last post, so here's a rewind of our last few weeks!
The day after our last post Isabelle was diagnosed with walking pneumonia. We had to do breathing treatments with her and that was difficult for a 2 year old to handle. But we got to the point where she cooperated and got the hang of it. She's much better now and was a real trooper through the whole ordeal.
I (Missy) have been given some additional responsibilities at work, all on top of my crazy work load already. I'm actually excited for the challenge and the new ideas I've come up with, so I'm hoping if things go according to plan it shouldn't be that bad. Now let's hope that some more money $ is involved!
It's been 6 months since we've been in our new house. We've loved every minute of it and can't believe it's ours! We miss our old neighbors and being close to our parents but there are so many good things about our new place that make up for it.
We decided it was time to put Isabelle in daycare. We ran into some issues with finding a babysitter on Mondays so this was our next option. I actually think it may have been a blessing in disguise. She goes on Mondays and Tuesdays to Nano Nagle at St. Vincents. It's not just a place to drop kids off to play, they actually follow a schedule, have lessons and make crafts. She's really enjoying it and is having a blast making new friends!
We purchased the mean green driving machine for Brady this month. The Nissan Cube is a little fuel efficient vehicle that beats driving the gas guzzling diesel daily and is actually a fun car to drive.
My mom, Tracy, was diagnosed with Mrca earlier this week. It's a nasty nasty skin infection with some extreme side effects. My brother and I have been taking turns being with her at the doctor and doing what we can to help her out. We feel really bad this had to happen and hope it heals soon. She's a tough woman though and we know she can fight it. Get well soon Grandma!!!
Lastly, Delainey has been in town this week. We did an activity day at Wheeler Farm and then had a pizza party last night. We love seeing her any chance we get and she is such a delight! I think she's finally getting used to us and seemed a lot less shy this time around. See you soon Delainey!
Well, I think that wraps up the first half of the month - we'll see if the next half is as exciting!
